Choose my own

Suggested for me reads your practice results on this device. Choose my own opens the case library, where every case that runs here has Simulate and Out loud buttons.

The two formats

Chatbot-style online case

  • About 5 to 8 questions in a fixed order, each with a timer, and no going back. A full-length option asks 8 to 10 where the case has them.
  • Multiple choice, numbers from calculations and exhibits, then a short close, typed or spoken in 60 seconds.
  • Modelled on the online case screens firms describe publicly. No firm's test is copied.

Interviewer-led text case

  • The interviewer gives you the case step by step, with no timer, and may ask a rule-based follow-up.
  • You give your structure, read the exhibit, do every calculation, and close with a recommendation.
  • Closest to a live interviewer-led case. Type, or answer the structure and the close out loud.

You choose the format, the timer and the length on the case's start screen. New to online case screens? Read how the format works.

Scoring is automated and approximate. It checks your numbers, looks for key words, and applies a published rubric to your written answers, quoting your own words; it cannot judge your reasoning the way a person can. For human feedback, use Partner mode with a friend.
