Our aim
Everyone preparing for a consulting interview should be able to use So What Club, whatever their device, network, or ability. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We have not yet had an independent audit, so we describe below what we have done and what we know is not right yet.
What we have done
- Pages are built to work with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
- Text and buttons meet contrast guidelines, and buttons and links are large enough to tap (at least 44 pixels).
- Form fields have labels, and most errors and status messages are announced to screen readers in plain words.
- Charts and exhibits in lessons have text descriptions that state their numbers (an automated check enforces this).
- Animations are reduced when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Pages are designed for small phones (375 pixels wide) as well as large screens.
- We write in short, plain sentences for readers whose first language is not English.
- No sign-in is needed to learn anything on the site.
What is not perfect yet
- We have not yet finished a full keyboard and screen reader check of every page and practice tool.
- Some timed practice drills can be hard to complete quickly with a screen reader.
- Some complex exhibits (for example waterfall charts) are easier to understand visually than from their text description. We are improving the descriptions.
- The site needs JavaScript for practice tools and saving progress. Lessons can be read without it.
- The site is in English only for now. Layouts are being prepared for right-to-left languages such as Arabic.
Tell us about a problem
If something is hard to use, email hello@sowhatclub.com with the page address, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser, and any assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within 5 working days (a goal, not a guarantee) and, while we fix it, to give you the content another way. More ways to reach us are on the reports and notices page.
