For companies and nonprofits

A sharp consulting team for your next big question

Short, fixed-fee projects done by screened Project Fellows and led by an experienced consultant. Built for startups, small businesses and nonprofits.

Where we are

The program is just starting, and we are taking on our first projects now. Email us with your question and we will tell you honestly whether it is a good fit.

The kinds of projects we take on

Market entry and sizing

How big is the market, which segment to go after first, and whether the numbers justify entering.

Pricing

What to charge, how to package it, and what a price change would do to volume and profit.

Growth

Where the next growth comes from: new customers, new channels, new products or new places.

Operations and cost

Where the money and time go, what drives the cost, and which changes are worth making first.

Customer research

Interviews and surveys that find out what customers need, why they buy and why they leave.

Who does the work

Every project is led by an experienced consultant, who scopes it with you, reviews every piece of analysis and stands behind the final recommendation.

The team is made of Project Fellows: members of So What Club who met a published, evidence-based bar in structuring, math, market sizing, reading data, synthesis and communication, and then passed a live case interview with our team. You can read the bar on the Project Fellows page.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Scoping call

A short call to understand your question, your data and your deadline, and to agree what a useful answer looks like.

  2. Step 2

    Fixed-fee sprint

A written scope and a fixed fee agreed before any work starts, so there are no surprises on cost.

  3. Step 3

    Weekly check-ins

You see the work as it develops and can steer it, instead of waiting for a big reveal at the end.

  4. Step 4

    Final recommendation

A clear recommendation with the analysis behind it, the main risks and the next steps, presented to your team.

Meet Fellows for hiring

Introductions to Fellows for analyst, strategy or operations roles are planned, but not open yet: in some countries introducing candidates to employers needs a licence, and we will only start where the rules allow it. When it opens, Fellows will choose whether to take part, nothing about them will be shared without their agreement, and members will never be charged. Tell us you are interested.

Before you write

  • A few lines are enough: who you are, where you are based, the decision you are facing and when you need an answer.
  • Please do not send confidential data in your first email. If a project goes ahead, how your data is handled is agreed in the written scope, before any work starts.
